The "Speed Week" crackdown continues through this Wednesday.

As reported by News 10, the New York State Police are cracking down on speeding. Governor Cuomo announced the week long initiative last week, and it continues through this Wednesday, June 12th.

According to a press release from  the Governor's office, state trooper swill be looking focused on  "...speeding and aggressive drivers during a special weeklong traffic enforcement initiative.'" they will also be focused on enforcing New York's Move Over Law. This is all part of an effort to raise awareness as we enter the busy summer travel season. During the same initiative last June, New York State Troopers issued over 24,500 tickets - almost half of those for speeding.
