After a thirty-five-year run in Stuyvesant Plaza, Different Drummer's Kitchen Co./The Cook's Resource closed and is moving into Crossgates Mall. The move had to happen because the new owners of Stuyvesant Plaza didn't renew their lease according to the Albany Business Review. But we now know what will replace the beloved store.

A popular store inside Stuyvesant Plaza in Guilderland will be moving a mile down the road to a bigger space in Crossgates Mall after thirty-five years.

There is a popular cafe in Saratoga that opened thirty years ago and is adding a fourth location. It will be the second one in Albany. This location has been in the works for quite some time and we finally have an opening date.

When you think about it, we actually have quite a few malls in the Capital Region and they've been changing to become more than just shopping centers. Well, people took notice because a few local ones made the list of the top 25 in Upstate New York.

Crossgates Mall, Aviation Mall, Colonie Center, Stuyvesant Plaza, and Clifton Park Center are just of a few of the many shopping malls and outlets we have here in the Capital Region.  While this list is certainly debatable (and surely bound to annoy a few) a recent survey ranked 25 of the very best that upstate New York has to offer.  Three local malls not only made the list, but were in the top 1

Two new eateries are now up and running at the old Creo location at Stuyvesant Plaza.

The bad news is, Creo will be closing it's doors this Summer!  The good news is, Bellini’s may be taking over!
