Driver Denny Hamlin will miss at least six weeks of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series circuit after suffering fractured vertebra in a crash on the last lap of Sunday's race at Fontana, California.

Yesterday was the first race in the chase for the Sprint Cup Championship at Chicagoland Speedway. The winner was Brad Keselowski who has had a very impressive year by winning 3 races during the regular season and staying very consistent to solidify his spot in the chase. He beat out 5 time cup champion Jimmie Johnson who lead most of the race.
Nascar fans are really excited this year because Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be in the chase. The Sprint Cup Race For the Chase is the last 10 races of the season. Tomorrow night we will know who those 12 lucky drivers driving for the championship will be.
The Nascar Sprint Cup Series is wide open this year. Nobody is pulling away and anyone of the drivers in the top 12 in points can literally jump on top with a few good races. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is still in the top 5 as well.
