When Saturday Night Live begins a new season you can usually expect something to happen that will get people talking about it on Monday morning, this season opener did not disappoint. Hillary Clinton stopped by to open the show and to be honest wasn't half bad.

I have to be honest, ever since Kentucky Fried Chicken brought back the Colonel with Darrell Hammond I have been a little creeped out. I don't know if it was the character of Colonel Sanders or Darrell's portrayal but it just didn't sit right with me. Most of the time, the SNL opening monologue is a formality and a tradition, a road bump on the way to the actual good parts of an episode. It feels like something the guest host does because he has to, not because anyone on the writing staff actually had a good idea. And that’s why last night’s monologue was such a joyous surprise: it was not only the best monologue of the season, but the best sketch of the whole night.

Whenever SNL breaks out the “guest host answers audience questions” template for the opening monologue, it feels like a sign that the writers waited until the last possible moment to write this bit and couldn’t come up with anything better. And yet, when they use this formula for Chris Hemsworth, it works for one reason and one reason alone: their guest host has a couple of famous (and not-so-famous) brothers who can join him on stage.

Taylor Swift may have released a pop album in 2014, but she's still a favorite with her old country music fans, who are always eager to find out what she's up to next. And this is a big one.

I know I am excited about Saturday Night Live this week. I think Blake Shelton is a naturally funny dude, and I know he will do whatever it takes to get a laugh. I don't know if he will live up to Justin Timberlake but I do know that one of the great things about both Justin and Blake is that neither of them take themselves too seriously, and THAT usually means funny.

As someone who loves both "The Office" and "The Hobbit," I think that this video is awesome. While it is not something I ever could have imagined in my own head, I am so happy that someone else did and that "Saturday Night Live" did it so danged well.

When Woody Harrelson was revealed to be hosting ‘SNL’ just a few days before the new ‘Hunger Games’ movie was set to open in theaters, it was obvious that the massively popular franchise would, somehow, figure into at least one sketch. Surprisingly, that ended up being the opening monologue, which featured Harrelson performing his own version of Taylor Swift's ‘1989.’ With a little help from some friends.

Don't try to hide it, you know you've found yourself singing a Taylor Swift song out of nowhere! I know, I've been there too, but fear not! There is finally a cure from the people at SNL...
