A New York State Trooper involved in a crash this morning on way his way into work at the barracks in Fonda has sadly died from his injuries.  All of us here at WGNA send our sincerest and deepest condolences to the family of Trooper Jeremy J. Our thoughts are with a New York State Trooper and his family after State Police say one of their own was seriously injured this morning on his way to work in Fonda.

Sad news today as the New York State Police informed the public about the passing of a true hero. Trooper Michael J. Anson, 56, from Albany County died from an illness stemming from his assignment at the World Trade Center following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

A 31-year-old man that allegedly beat a man to death in Virginia, was caught by an off duty New York State Trooper in the Lake George area.
