Memorial Day weekend is one of the bigger weekends when it comes to movies. Luckily there are two huge movies coming out this weekend and Lights Camera Jackson saw both of them.
I love Harry Potter, it's borderline obsession. I'm proud of it. I've read the books, I've seen the movies, and the number of pieces of Harry Potter merchandise I own is obnoxious.
Last year, Forbes dubbed Adam Sandler the most overpaid actor in Hollywood with the help of some basic math skills — the publication looks at how much a studio makes for every dollar they paid their leading man. Johnny Depp came in second place in 2014, and although Sandler has had an impressively terrible year, Depp succeeded in overthrowing the former funny man and stealing his overpaid crown.
Not only is Johnny Depp an actor, but on the side he also plays guitar and sings. He's credited with singing on a bunch of bands albums including Oasis album 'Be Here Now,' Aerosmith's 'Aerosmith: Music from Another Dimension!' and Iggy Pop's album, 'Avenue B...
Actors! They're weird! Johnny Depp may be one of Hollywood's brightest stars, but that doesn't mean he's immune to the weirdness of artistry -- in fact, Depp has kind of gone whole hog on this being "out there" thing, and it's very much a part of his process as an actor. Thankfully, Disney has course corrected with trailer number two, which actually lets us see and hear the ensemble cast performing Stephen Sondhiem's iconic songs. It's an improvement by default.
So this is why we don't see Johnny Depp on stage very often (ever?) at awards shows. Last night at the Hollywood Film Awards, Depp introduced the documentary ‘Supermensch,’ about legendary talent manager Shep Gordon, and immediately made it pretty clear that he was not sober-minded. “That's the weirdest microphone I've ever seen in my life,” he slurs—except, you know, it's just a regular microphone.
Christmas has movies, Easter has movies, St. Partick's Day even has movies. Thanksgiving is lacking in the movie department though. I want to change this.
Hey Kemosabe, the 'Lone Ranger' trailer is here and gives us our first look at Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger...and a lot of trains. So what do you think of Depp's Native American accent?
