A few weeks ago, JC Penney filed for bankruptcy and announced that they would start closing stores all across the country. They are closing one hundred fifty-four stores this summer and it looks as if the Capital Region department stores are safe, for now.

It looks as if another big department store will be closing its doors forever. JC Penney announced that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
