It was a close vote yesterday, but a call for votes on Darius Rucker's Facebook page sent 'True Believers' to a fifth and final round of Showdown voting. His new ballad beat Kenny Chesney's 'El Cerrito Place,' taking over 70 percent of the online and phone votes via Taste of Country Nights radio.

You may call him Hootie which I'm sure he is OK with, but make no mistake that Darius Rucker is 100% solo and 100% country these days. He stormed out with a #1 hit to start his country career with the song "Don't Think I Don't Think About It".

Darius Rucker and Charley Pride have the honor of being the only two African American artists to have solo No. 1 hits in the Country Music genre.  Surprisingly, Rucker just got the chance to meet the Country Music Hall of Famer for the first time in his career.

Dierks Bentley is promoting the hell out of his new album, Home.  The album is set to be released tomorrow.  Dierks was on NBC's Today Show this morning and will be back again tomorrow morning.

Sugarland is being sued by the estates of four people who died during the Indiana State Fair tragedy along with 44 other victims.   The complaint was filed Tuesday in Indianapolis by attorneys representing at least 20 law firms from Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.

I am a huge fan of Darius Rucker and I have been even before he came over to the Country Music scene. I loved the music from his band Hootie and the Blowfish back in the day. But now, I have to take a step back on how I feel about the guy.
