Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins & Justin Moore in Today’s Taste of Country with Casey

Lots of stuff happening with our favorite country music artists.  Luke Bryan is going to be on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show' today for his first-ever appearance.  He kicks off his “Farm Tour” tomorrow.  Lots of details on his new look and busy schedule are right at his website.

Trace Adkins is going to be playing truck driver.  He joins the cast of the upcoming thriller, 'The Healer.’  Trace’s character is literally named “The Truck Driver” because he transports people to hell in the movie.  Kind of a perfect match, don't you think?  Other stars on the set will include Isabelle Fuhrman, Joel Courtney, James Le Gros and Natalia Dyer.  The movie is due out sometime next year.

There’s an interesting eBay auction up for bidding right now.  The Grammy Charity Online Auction is giving you the chance to attend a very intimate concert with Darius Rucker.  Only 100 people will be able to attend.  It’s a private house concert from Darius in wine country near Sonoma, California.  Pretty cool stuff!  He’s always a good time and I'm sure wine country out in Cali is, too!  Hurry though – the auction is only up until tomorrow.

Shania Twain will be on video tomorrow to give her testimony in the trial of her stalker.  Dr. John Palumbo is on trial for criminal harassment and violating court orders to stay away from her.  Fortunately, for Twain, the judge denied the defense’s request for her to be physically in the courtroom for the trial since she’d have to fly her and her security team from Switzerland to Toronto. 

Rumor has it Julianne Hough may have landed herself another gig in an upcoming movie.  The untitled film co-stars Russell Brand.  Hough might play a sheltered young woman who loser her faith after a plane crash and ends up in Las Vegas.  The movie will be a directing debut of screenwriter Diablo Cody – the same writer of Juno.
