This afternoon as I passed through the thousands of fans that came out to enjoy the first Friday of racing season in the Spa City, many come year after year. The UAlbany Alumni Association held their annual outing. Hundreds were adorned in purple and gold ready to make their bets and enjoy the spectacular weather and an amazing card of top horse racing, highlighted by the 9th race, the Forbidden Apple Stakes.
Last summer, the Capital Region bike share program was launched and after a very successful season, they are offering big discounts to riders who are ready to sign up for the spring and summer of 2018.
A few weeks ago, I told you about the bike sharing program that will be available in 38 locations throughout Schenectady, Saratoga, Albany and Troy. The bikes are set to be ready to hit the road by the end of this month. Many people are curious to what the cost will be and if it's worth it.
The project has been discussed at length for a long time and finally residents and visitors to the Capital Region will be able to have an alternative to get around in the 518.
