Statue Donation For Centennial In Saratoga Park

In 2015, Saratoga Springs will be celebrating its centennial for the 100^th year of being incorporated as a city. 

Back in June, Philanthropist Mary Lou Whitney and John Hendrickson donated a section of Congress Park for the centennial. They called it “Centennial Park”, and now they want to add one more thing. It’s a Native Dancer bronze statue. If it’s approved by the Saratoga Springs City Council, it will be placed in the “Centennial Park.

According to the story that I read in the Times Union, construction of the 'Centennial Park' may begin on Wednesday.
