Are New York Spectrum Cable Bills On the Rise Again?
These days it seems we can't get away from rising costs anywhere.
Gas, groceries, your heat bill, and so much more...the cost of just the basic living necessities is going up everywhere these days. We are feeling the pinch everywhere and now you can add another Spectrum Cable increase to that long list of growing costs. It's almost impossible to keep a budge these days!
Spectrum Cable Announces Another Round of Fee Hikes
Just what you need, another bill going up! Spectrum has announced that cable bills could be going up anywhere from $5 to $15, depending on what level of service you have, according to a Times Union story. There will be a new broadcast TV surcharge of $3.01 per customer, cable box rentals will go up a $1 each, and there will also be an additional charge of $2 for phone service. The TV is a result of content providers raising there fees for the cable provider.
So maybe this gets you to thinking - it is time to cut the cord, right? Yeah, not so fast.
We cut the cord on cable a few years ago and still have a Spectrum over $100 bucks because we still need the internet to get all the streaming services. And there we are probably spending another $25-30 a month. So at his point, you are getting pinched one way or the other.
The only true answer for cheaper TV and entertainment service is other internet options, which are coming to some Capital Region communities like Clifton Park and Saratoga Springs in the hopefully near future.
