My friend Jimmy Schoonover was a busy guy yesterday up in Queensbury. His father is  a very proud American.

He's also very talented craftsman, and loves his country. He was a member of the North Queensbury Fire Company for years and years back when the 9-11 tragedies unfolded he and other members of the company just felt moved to do something to show their pride for America, our troops who went overseas to take the fight to the terrorists and the firefighters and first responders at the Twin Towers that bravely gave their lives to save our fellow Americans.

In a project that they all spent a long time building from wood, by hand they recreated the Twin Towers, a New York City Fire Department firetruck and

a US Army tank in camouflage to show his pride in all. Jimmy's dad always said "I'll never forget", and last night Jimmy said the same to me. The North Queensbury Fire Department will never forget either. They brought the items out yesterday afternoon and dropped them off for Jimmy and assisted in setting them up. They are handcrafted and very heavy as you could imagine. You can see the display for yourself . It is out now through the 4th of July at the corner of Route 149 and Ridge Road in Queensbury. I was so moved by this that I had to go snap a few pictures.  We will never forget.
