New Rotterdam Tractor Supply Company Location In The Works

It is the ultimate rural lifestyle retailer, and they are looking to open a new location in Rotterdam.

If you do any type of farming or gardening, or are just a homeowner, chances are you have shopped at a Tractor Supply Co. Heck, if none of these apply to you, chances are you have simply browsed and walked the aisles to see the cool mix of stuff they carry. I went to find parts once for my garden tractor and almost left with some baby chicks!

New Tractor Supply Co. Proposed For Daunesburg Road In Rotterdam

According to the Daily Gazette, the retailer, known for its wide selection of supplies and foods for farmers, homeowners, pet owners, and more, is seeking approval to build a new 22,000 square-foot location in Rotterdam. The Gazette says developers are seeking a zoning adjustment to build the new store at 7740778 Duanesburg Road, near Schalmont High School.

Tractor Supply Co. currently operates nine stores throughout the Capital Region, including Troy, Clifton Park, Queensbury, Palatine Bridge, Guilderland, Greenwich, Glenmont, Gloversville, Cobleskill, and Amsterdam.

The Gazette says an official vote on the project is set for next month after an environmental review.
