We have come to the end of another week, and that means we go back in time to showcase a tune you may have forgotten with this week's edition of Flashback Friday.

Today we go back to 1994 for the first top 40 hit from Rhett Akins called "What They're Talkin' About"

This was Rhett's first single and first top 40 hit peaking at #35 on the Billboard Country Charts. He would eventually have more success with the tunes "That Ain't My Truck" which hit #3 and "Don't Get Me Started" that reached Number one!

These days, Rhett has become a hit making songwriter. He helped write "Put A Girl In It" for Brooks & Dunn, "Barefoot and Crazy" for Jack Ingram and "Farmer's Daughter" for Rodney Atkins", as well as the number one hit's "All About Tonight" for Blake Shelton, "All Over Me" for Josh Turner" and "Gimme That Girl" for Joe Nichols.

He also wrote Shelton's "Honey Bee" and Atkins "Take A Back Road" which are currently moving up the charts.

Hope you enjoyed this great song from the past and be sure to be back here next week with another edition of Flashback Friday.
