A Henry Street staple has decided to call it a day.

One thing you always hate to see is a great local business closing for any reason. They are the lifeblood and backbones of our communities, creating jobs and being our local economic engines.

Those closures tend to also hurt a little more when there are great memories of gathering with friends and family for a great meal. So fans of one Henry Street pizza spot in Saratoga Springs are definitely disappointed to hear this news today. But fans of this pizza joint will also appreciate everything they meant to the staff at this beloved restaurant.

In a heartfelt post on their Facebook page earlier today, Flatbread Social announced they will close their floors for good after what has "...been a challenging year for us and we feel this is the best decision." They go on to show gratitude for all their customer support over the years and to their great staff, and also an appreciation for the relationships they forged with those customers and staff.

Flatbread Social first opened back in December of 2018, and quickly became a local favorite - folks I know were always raving about it.

If you visit the Flatbread Social website, they are now referring visitors to the Henry Street Tap Room for food and drink.
