Years ago, who would of thought New York would be such a hotbed for wine? Best.com recently performed there 'Best of the American Wine' scene poll and the Finger Lakes was voted the best wine region in America! We knew the wine scene in New York overall here has been growing in popularity, and these results really back up the quality of our local wineries and growing regions. Here is what 10Best wrote about the Finger Lakes wine region:

New York’s picturesque Finger Lakes region is home to three distinct American Viticultural Areas, Finger Lakes, Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake AVAs. Visitors to the area will find more than 130 wineries, many specializing in Riesling.

It is one of the things I have yet to do - jump on a winery tour through the Finger Lakes. This just makes me want to move that trip up the list! When you consider how amazing our bustling craft beer scene is in the Empire State, it really is a great time to be a wine and beer afficionado in the New York! Cheers!
