The New York State Stock Car Association has elected a trio of outstanding drivers and two highly respected promoters to its 2015 Hall of Fame class.

Dirt track stars Pete Bicknell and Kenny Brightbill are being joined by the late asphalt standout Charlie Jarzombek on the driver’s side, while Marcia Wetmore and Howard Commander were elected to the Hall of Fame for their accomplishments in speedway management and promotion. Commander is the local owner/promoter of Lebanon Valley Speedway.
Part one of the induction festivities was held this morning in an informal ceremony at the Saratoga Automobile Museum at the Spa State Park. The museum hosts the site of the association’s permanent Hall of Fame display.
NYSSCA's annual wards banquet will be held this evening in Albany at which the more formal Hall of Fame induction will kick the night off.
