I find this sort of interesting, I am assuming there will be many state workers upset about the move.

What is happening is the New York State Department of Tax and Finance is going to be soon moving its call center and all 500 employees who work there to their new home in the Rotterdam Square Mall. If I was a worker in said call center now located in Albany and I lived in lets say, Albany, Now you have a 30 minute commute. Put yourself in their shoes, kind of aggravating right?

Either way the move is set to happen sometime in the summer and they will now occupy the sight of the former Macy's department store that was in the Mall. On a separate note. First Latham Circle Mall now part of the Rotterdam Square Mall will be an office building? Either way I am sure the new owners of the mall have to be elated about the rent check they will now receive from New York.
