Since 1966, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has had success in several genres and gained a reputation as one of music's most original and enduring acts.

We recently caught up with John McEuen of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, who told us about their unique name, how frequently people mess it up, and the story behind 'Mr. Bojangles' - a song that was inducted into the Grammy Song Hall of Fame in 2010.
