New Farm to Table Restaurant Replaces French Cuisine in Stuyvesant Plaza
The pandemic forced Provence, a French restaurant inside Stuyvesant Plaza to close. It just wasn't conducive to take-out. So owner, Daniel Darves-Bornoz, decided the time was right for a change. Now a new concept and restaurant will open called Josie's Table.
What Will the Ambiance of Josie's Table Be Like?
General Manager, James Morton said that the atmosphere will be much different than Provence. There were noticeable renovations made. For instance, they expanded the kitchen into the dining room space and put in a pizza oven according to Albany Business Review. In doing this, they went from seating one hundred twenty to seventy people.
What Can We Expect Their Menu to be Like?
The food at Josie's Table features local farms and food producers like Forts Ferry Farm, Highland Hollow, a beef producer, Old Chatham Creamery, and more. They have salads, pizza, large plates, and plates to share. They have seasonal menus too. The Winter menu features a free-range half chicken with a mushroom trio, asparagus, grilled Meyer lemon, and rosemary. They also have a Highland Hollow beef burger with bacon, onion jam, pickles, cheddar, and fries.
According to Josie's Table website, this is how they describe their cuisine:
Josie’s Table features farm-to-table cuisine with a focus on local, organic, and seasonal ingredients. The bar at Josie’s Table specializes in a variety of natural and organic wines, house infusions, tinctures, and specialty cocktails with locally distilled spirits.
Josie's Table had a soft opening on January 6th and the official kickoff will add lunch service sometime in the next month or so. To make dinner reservations you can do that through their website.
