Haylie Zemplinski was one of the many students that were asked to design a billboard that would encourage people to not text while they drive.

In the story from Time Warner News, she’s hoping  that people will pay attention to the message, and hope that they realize that it’s not safe to text and drive, and to stop doing it.

A couple of weeks ago, Shenendehowa  students also had a billboard designing contest. In the story from CBS 6 Albany, a Senior graphic design student created the winning billboard in hopes to curb drunk driving. Victoria Barone’s design was the winner, and can be seen on Route 9 in Clifton Park.
