Local Favorites The Back 40 Band To Open Countryfest 2011

We are less than two weeks away from the biggest party of the summer, Countryfest 2011 at the Altamont  Fairgrounds on July 9th. Every year we have a great local act to open up the show. This year is no different as local Favorites The Back 40 Band with kick off the festivites at 1pm!

The band has been around since the late 90's and have gone through many lineup changes but are still a great country band! They were voted the Best Country Band by Metroland readers between 2006-2010. Were voted best in the Capital Reigon by the Times Union in 2006 and 2007 and are two time Northeast Country Music Association Entertainers of the Year.

I have known founding members Frank Valenti and Eddie Legenbauer for over ten years now going back to when i worked at a station in Vermont. The station was looking for some local bands to open a Countryfest like show and I suggested the Back 40 Band. We've been good friends ever since!
