Local Clock Tower Goes Orange For M.S. Awareness
One famous Schenectady landmark will have a different look to it this month.
The clock tower on Schenectady's city hall, which is located at 105 Jay Street, will be orange for Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month. It is a disease that effects more than two million people. There is also something identified as 'four disease courses' in multiple sclerosis. A detailed definition and description about the disease can be found on The National Multiple Sclerosis Society's website.
In the story from WNYT, the orange clock tower is a way to help raise awareness about multiple sclerosis.
One way that M.S. Awareness Month starts is M.S. Awareness Week, which is this week. As it's noted on their website, it's a special week. It's a week to inspire people to help create a world free of multiple sclerosis.
There are ways that you can donate listed on the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s website.
