A legendary party bar and restaurant on Caroline Street in downtown Saratoga Springs has hit the market days after the property had a foreclosure complaint.

Gaffney's Bar and Restaurant is on the market for a cool $4.6 million. Scott Varley from Keller Williams Capital District is handling the listing according to the Albany Business Review.

The new owners will decide whether to keep running a restaurant and bar in the space. Although the business itself isn't for sale, the new owner could keep the iconic Gaffney's name.

Scott Varley said of Gaffney's,

It's such a legendary name. Growing up in Saratoga, Gaffney's was a staple for all of us kids. It’s woven into the fabric of our town. We’d all love to see it continue as Gaffney's, including the current owner, but ultimately, it's up to the buyer to decide what they want to do.

The building boasts over 15,500 square feet across four stories, including an outdoor porch and patio. Plus, there are about 10 rental apartments thrown into the mix.
