Since 2016 the Adirondack Pub & Brewery in Lake George has been hosting the Funky Ice Fest. Check out the funky vibes underneath the winter moon and disco ball while enjoying craft cocktails and Adirondack Brewery's beer and drinks from its cool ice bar.
Funky Ice Fest isn't just ice sculptures and an ice bar, there are funky tunes, classic arcade games like Pac-Man, and fun for all. You are encouraged to dress in your grooviest attire. Rainbow wigs will be handed out by the Adirondack Pub & Brewery.
There are a ton of cool ice sculptures and many places to take selfies and Instagram pictures. There is an ice lounge with a full bar and high-top tables. Sculptors Kirk Sheloski and Anthony Giorgianni are carving an ice throne and many musical instruments out of ice.
Some of the instruments made of ice are a harp, standup bass, xylophone, and a playable piano.
There are also other carvings including animals, crystals, and smaller sculptures.
The founder of the Adirondack Pub & Brewery, John Carr explained why started Funky Ice Fest,
Prevent cabin fever, Get out and have some fun outdoors dancing under the stars. It’s like a celebration of funk and disco wrapped into one. Every year it grows and becomes more funky and fun.
