2009- Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley marries Nashville publicist Cassie McConnell. Cassie is the rep for singers Jake Owen and Charles' brother Josh Kelley.
2003- The Dixie Chicks perform at Dallas' American Airlines Center despite a threat that Natalie Maines will be shot on stage. Natalie receives threats after her disapproving comment about President Bush during a concert in London. The incidents also inspire the documentary "Shut Up and Sing."
1991- Alan Jackson begins a three week stay at No. 1 on the Billboard country singles chart with 'Don't Rock The Jukebox.' Alan debuts the song in some cities while on tour with Tammy Wynette.
1978- After her divorce from George Jones, Tammy Wynette marries songwriter George Richey. George is known for writing such titles as 'The Grand Tour' and ''Til I Can Make It On My Own.'

Jeannie Seely, 1940. Jeannie wins a Grammy award for her hit 'Don't Touch Me' leading to a long term membership on the Grand Ole Opry. Jeannie is also one of the residents to be hardest hit by the Nashville floods of 2010.
