Kip Moore Has a Beard Now, and It’s Fantastic!
Kip Moore made a few new fans at the 2017 Taste of Country Music Festival, and then a few more after that when the crowd caught sight of that beard!
The "More Girls Like You" singer has often had some scruff, but this is a full on hockey player beard. Dark brown with flecks of red and a little gray, Moore's new look adds ruggedness that was hardly missing, but whatevs.
"There is no inspiration," Moore says, laughing. "It just kinda happened. I started kinda growing it out this last surfing trip I took and I haven't felt like doing much with it since."
ToC did ask a few serious questions during the pre-show jumbotron interview prior to his Sunday night (June 13) set in Hunter, N.Y. Moore talked about looking for love outside of his love for his career, plus his dream collaborations.
"I'm never gonna do a collaboration just to do a collaboration and just to get TV exposure. It's gonna have to be right for me," he insists. "I'm not targeting any (for his next album) but I've always been big fans of a lot of artists like Pink, I think she's amazing. Bob Seger — people like that."
"More Girls Like You" is the lead single from Moore's next album. He played one other new song during an extended set at ToC Fest 2017 and included covers by Jimmy Eat World and "Lean On Me," as well as "Have a Little Faith in Me." He closed a day that also featured Maren Morris, Brooke Eden and Steve Moakler.
