An Albany school is expecting its biggest "Back to School Night" crowd yet as New York Education Commissioner John King will host a forum Thursday night, inviting parents to comment on New York's Common Core standards.

The forum will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School, 100 Elbel Court in Albany. More than 1,000 people are expected to participate.

"The Albany Police Department and the City School District of Albany, would like to remind the members of our community that traffic delays should be expected during this time period," Albany Police PIO Steven Smith said.

Parking is limited at the school, although police officers and school officials will be there to help.

Are you going to Thursday night's forum? If not, share your opinion of the state's Common Core standards in the comments below.
