Since I renewed my commitment to working out and practicing healthy habits in September, I've been working with a physical trainer and trying several different types of group classes at Best Fitness.

They really have SO many ways to challenge you, from cycling and hot yoga to Bfitt60 burn and strength classes and Les Mills Body Combat. I've taken Barre Flow classes before. This hour-long class incorporates pilates, dance, yoga and functional training using (you guessed it!) the barre, as well as small balls.

Barre Flow is always a challenge. You can always balance on your tippy toes higher or bend your knees lower. And you get to feel like a pretty ballerina at the same time!

Here's a look:

I love how yoga is incorporated, because it not only gives my legs a chance to rest but also strengthens other parts of my body within the same class. I also like that it focuses on some of my trouble areas. I can do squats and lunges but it takes those muscles and strengthens them a different way.

After this class, my legs felt so strong — and the attitude in this class was really motivational. A lot of times in classes, I feel like I'm not as strong as everyone else there. What's different about Barre Flow is that everyone is struggling with you. You're never going to feel like you're the weakest; everyone is together.
