Earlier we caught up with Senior Writer Bob Nightengale from USA Today to pick his brain on the latest action in the MLB playoffs. With the Milwaukee Brewers in firm control over the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians evened up, this was a perfect time to catch up with Bob. He explains to us why the Dodgers are still playing Shohei Ohtani despite his clear struggles, how the Brewers got to this point after losing to the Dodgers last year, and what to expect in the ALCS between the Rays and Guardians.

I look at the way the Dodgers have played this postseason and don't see them coming back against the Brew Crew. They've relied too much on home runs throughout the postseason and simply aren't hitting well. As far as the American League goes, the Rays are far and away the better team, but I'm a Yankees guy at heart and will be rooting for Cleveland all the way!
