Yankee Fans Are Ranked Second Most Demanding In MLB
New Yorkers are known for being passionate about their sports teams. But a new study suggests some fans may be a little more demanding than others. According to a BetUS, the New York Yankees have the second most "Karen-heavy" fanbase in Major League Baseball.
What Is a "Karen Score"?
The study created a "Karen Score" for every MLB team by looking at several factors, including one-star stadium reviews, social media sentiment, stadium rules, and whether a stadium has a complaint hotline. They combined those factors to rank which fanbases were most likely to complain to the stadium staff.

Yankees Finish Near the Top
The Yankees landed at No. 2 with a Karen Score of 76.56. The study pointed to Yankee Stadium's complaint hotline, a high number of one-star reviews, and a lengthy code of conduct as reasons that put the team near the top of the rankings.
The Mets Made the List Too
The New York Mets also appeared in the top 15, finishing at No. 13 with a Karen Score of 56.74. That means both New York MLB teams landed among the fanbases most likely to voice their frustrations.
Which Team Ranked First?
The top spot went to the Chicago White Sox, who got a Karen Score of 77.93, just beating out the Yankees. Other teams near the top included the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Texas Rangers.
Take It With a Grain of Salt
Before Yankees fans start arguing about this, I should let you know that this was a lighthearted study made by a sportsbook. The rankings don't measure actual fan behavior and are based on a unique mix of online reviews, social media activity, and stadium policies. I also apologize to ALL the Karens that are good people and don't deserve to be lumped into the "Karen world."
