Famous Actors Who Are Also Country Singers

Kevin Costner, Billy Bob Thornton and more top-name actors are well-known for their starring roles in television and film, but did you know that some off your favorite actors are also country singers?

Costner was actually a musician before he was ever a famous actor, and he now heads up a country-rock band called Kevin Costner & Modern West, which has released several albums and performed all over the world.

Thornton is also a longtime musician, and while a lot of his music focuses on soulful rock, some of it is definitely rootsy enough to be classified as country or Americana.

Actors including Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and Dennis Quaid have put their musical chops to use in some of their biggest movie projects, while others including Kiefer Sutherland and Luke Grimes have released surprisingly strong, faithful music outside of their movie and TV projects.
