One of the best parts of living in New York State is the variety. If you want to live city life, you've got New York City and quite a few other medium-sized cities to choose from. On the other hand, if you want to live in the country, there are plenty of rural areas. If the suburbs are your thing, NY has those too.

As a resident of Buffalo, I'm happy to see my city on the list. So man times, Buffalo ends up on the bad lists. Buffalo is a great city to live with amazing food, history, culture, architecture, and of course, sports. Home of the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo is located in Western New York. We are a short drive from Niagara Falls and Souther Ontario, Canada. We are not too far from Toronto also. Buffalo sits on one of the Great Lakes, Lake Erie. Livability says,

Does being the birthplace of the Buffalo wing make Buffalo, NY, one of the best places to live in the Northeast? While some sports fans may say yes, Buffalo natives know it’s the high quality of life, cultural amenities, outdoor recreation and vibrant culinary scene that really set the city apart. Located right on the United States-Canada border, Buffalo has long been an access point for anyone looking to visit our friendly neighbors to the north or experience the awe-inspiring majesty of Niagara Falls.
