How Ken Dorsey’s Daughter Found Out About His Firing

A majority of Buffalo Bills fans were calling for the removal of Ken Dorsey from the coaching staff, and this week they got their wish. 

However, it is sad how the Dorsey family had to find out about the firing, especially his daughter. 

In Ken Dorsey’s coaching bio for the Buffalo Bills, he shared that he and his wife Jordan have two daughters.  

And one of those daughters is only a freshman in high school, and a tweet revealed that she found out about the news of her dad in a pretty informal way. 

One Bills fan shared Dorsey’s family experience with the news on X. 

“Ken Dorsey’s daughter had to find out he was fired in the middle of class and I think that’s the saddest part about the entire thing.”

Kasey on X makes a good point, and the tweet serves as a good reminder that Ken Dorsey is just a person too…with a family just like you. 

Sure, there have been some insensitive responses to that tweet like “There’s worst things” and “If students weren’t on their phones during class that wouldn’t have happened.”

One teacher, Nick Sowma, shared an inside look of what it’s like to be the kid of a Bills coach or executive. 

“It kinda sucks to be the kid of Bills coaches/execs. We forget that sometimes. I had one of the daughters of a Bills exec in my class. Kids were BRUTAL to her when the Bills lost.

These guys are human beings with loved ones. That gets lost a lot.”

I get that we all want the Bills to win, but continuing to paint Ken Dorsey as this kind of “Buffalo Villain” isn’t going to get you anywhere. 

Dorsey is no longer a part of the coaching staff, and that should be the end of it. Don’t drag his family into what happened with the Bills. They are just being supportive of their loved one….

Hopefully the Bills will pull away with a win this weekend. But remember, in the end, it is just a game. And it’s also the season of giving thanks, so be grateful that you’re able to share your love and enthusiasm for the game of football with your loved ones because at the end of the day, your family should be what is most important.
