Bills Great Fred Jackson Reveals His Favorite Wings in Buffalo
The Buffalo Bills are a part of the Western New York community like no other professional sports team in the country. The Bills are Buffalo and it's cool to see the connection the current and former players have with the fans.
So many past players now live here, or at least spend a lot of their time year.
One of those players who spends a lot of time in Buffalo, after his playing days are through, is former NFL running back Fred Jackson.
Jackson played for the Bills from 2006-2014. He is so beloved because of his underdog mentality. He played at division III Coe College and fought his way through the ranks of the indoor football leagues to make the Bills practice squad in 2006, active roster in 2007 and then exploded into a great starter in 2010.
Jackson was in Western New York again this past weekend. He was the Bills' "legend of the game" against the New York Jets.
Jackson also made time to check out his favorite new place for wings in Buffalo, Wingnutz.
Wingnutz has taken Buffalo by storm over the last five or six years. They specialize in extra crispy, extra saucy and large wings. They have a location at Froth Brewing in North Buffalo, a take-out only location in north Amherst and a new location about to open at the old Santora's Pizza Pub & Grill off Millersport in Amherst.
It's cool to see where current and former Bills players love going. Josh Allen's favorite wings are Bar-Bill and his favorite pizza is Ferro's in West Seneca. Ryan Fitzpatrick loves Mulberry's Italian Ristorante and Dandelion's, while Eric Wood loves Mulberry's and Sonny Red's in Lackawanna.
