Holiday Train Chugs Through 4 Upstate NY Cities to Help Local Families
All aboard! Get ready for the Canadian Pacific festive train to chug through four Upstate New York cities just in time for the holidays and for a great cause.
What is the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train?
A big, festive train will be covered in holiday lights, and it has a special car in the center of the cargo train that will turn into a stage for live shows at every stop.
Virginia to Vegas and Trudy entertainers will perform at the 2023 Holiday Train in the Capital Region and Adirondack Area. These events are free. They are simply asking if you can bring food donations for local food banks or money to donate.
It's the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. Since they began the Holiday Train program in 1999, they've gathered over five million pounds of food and more than $22.5 million to support local food banks.
According to the President and CEO of the event, Keith Creel,
We are proud to support local food banks as we fight food insecurity by collecting food and raising money and awareness. I am grateful to all the railroaders and community members who have supported the Holiday Train over the past quarter century and made it such a success.
