Heat Advisory For Albany Area on First Day Of Summer 2012

Summer arrives at 7:09 pm on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 and Mother Nature is wasting no time in warming us up!  The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the Albany Area.

According to WTEN, The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Heat Advisory in effect for Wednesday, June 20, 2012 across the area from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. with expected heat index values from 100 to 105 degrees. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. You are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
