HBO Announces NXIVM Documentary

I mean, we kind of knew it was going to happen eventually, now we have details on the documentary of the sex cult that rocked the Capital Region.

New York Upstate reported that HBO Documentary Films is currently in production on a docuseries called "NXIVM." Those of us in the Capital Region are familiar with the organization since a good amount of what they did happened right here.

The documentary will be produced by those who produced "The Square." Their goal is to follow people who joined the group and their experiences. Many have been arrested in relation to NXIVM, including Keith Raniere and "Smallville's" Allison Mack, as more and more names come out in relation to the cult.

At one point, NXIVM claimed to have over 16,000 members nationwide, they weren't just in the Capital Region. A release date hasn't yet been announced for the documentary and no word on if they've started filming yet.
