After a five day investigation, the Gloversville Police Department, along with the assistance of couple of neighboring communities, Fonda and Mayfield, almost 80 people were found that had a warrant pending. There were some of the people that were living in those outside areas.

In a story that I saw on Newschannel 13, the sweep took place from June 17, 2013, and continued until June 21, 2013. There were 201 attempts made by The Gloversville Police Department to find people that were wanted for arrests or bench warrants. The result led to the arrest of 64 people, and 14 others coming to court to pay their fines.

I wonder if this will lead to other police departments in and around the Albany area to do a sweep like this. Hopefully they'll find the time.
