If you are a big fan of the CSI: NY, then you know Gary Sinise.  He is the actor that plays Detective Mac Taylor.  If you're not a fan, you must have seen "Forrest Gump" and remember the character Lieutenant Dan. Well, now that you know who I'm referring to, Gary joined the Sean & Richie show this morning to talk about how he is helping numerous soldiers around the country.  One of those soldiers he is helping, is right here in the Albany area.

Gary is part of a band called the Lt. Dan Band (ironic, I know!) and they will be playing at the Washington Avenue Armory, in April.  The concert is to benefit a local soldier who now has a degenerative nerve disease that is believed to have been caused by exposure to toxic chemicals while serving in Iraq.  The soldier is Tech Sgt. Joe Wilkinson of Nassau.  All money raised will go towards building Wilkinson and his family a new home where he can be more comfortable.  Tickets go on sale today, March 12th, 2012.  They are priced at $30 and $40 each.

Here is the interview with Gary in case you missed it:
