Free ‘Outdoors Day’ Coming to Albany Area Parks June 8

As Summer nears, the New York Department of Environmental Conversation (DEC) will be offering free activities at several area parks next month.

Memorial Day Weekend will mark the unofficial start of Summer, and as New York Upstate reported, the NY DEC wants to help you get out to some local parks with their free Outdoors Day Saturday, June 8th.

The DEC website says Outdoors Day will include free activities at Five Rivers Environmental Education Center in Delmar and at Lawson Lake County Park in Feura Bush. At Five Rivers there will be free hiking, archery, bird watching and more. Lawson Lake will feature free fishing and paddling.

Anytime is a good time to get outdoors to enjoy our great local parks. Being able to do it whole checking out some fun activities with the NY DEC is even better!
