It's another sign the live concert scene in the Capital Region really is getting back to normal.

The summer of 2021 will officially be known as the summer live music came back with a vengeance in the Capital Region! SPAC is back, Alive at 5 has mad it's return, shows are returning to the clubs and theaters, and now another Albany favorite will be echoing across the Empire State Plaza starting next week,

The annual free weekly concert season will return to the Plaza Wednesday, August 4th at 5:30 p.m. with a performance by R and B artist Ginuwine. The free concert schedule will continue Wednesday, August 11th from 11am to 8pm with the Plaza Farmers market with food and vendors, and will wrap with a 5:30 pm concert starring the rock band Lit. Wednesday, August 18th will feature bands with 518 roots - Wild Adriatic and Super 400. The weekly series will go reggae and wrap Wednesday, August 25th at 5:30 pm with a concert starring the Legendary Wailers. You can see the full schedule of events at the Empire State Plaza website.

The only thing missing this year from the plaza concert series, and Alive at 5, is a Country show. But another 4 free concerts over the next month? No complaints here!
