In a story that I read in the Times Union, the eight people included people that are affiliated with ARC Of Rensselaer County. The Troy Fire Department got the call about the people being trapped in the elevator. The firefighters rescued the people in about 10 minutes. There were no injuries and everyone remained calm. The elevator will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.
