One of Country music's purest and most soulful voices will be bringing his summer tour to the Empire State.

When you read the words "Country" and "Outlaw" together, there is probably a select group of Country legends that come to mind. Johnny Cash, Waylon, Willie, and Merle are the ones that pop up in my head. They are simply artists who did things their way, with no apologies, and the musical results were timeless. The artist who just announced an Upstate New York concert is certainly a modern Country outlaw by definition.

Jamey Johnson is an artist who always did things his way, with no apologies. And well, that voice and those songs always go straight to your soul.

I will never forget the first time I got to see Jamey Johnson perform. It was at a small gathering at a Country radio event in Nashville where Jamey was just armed with his acoustic guitar. I saw him perform "In Color" for the first time that night, almost 15 years ago. It remains to this day one of the most stunning and memorable performances I have ever seen in my live music-loving life which has spanned so many shows. Jamey's delivery and authenticity are that powerful, in any setting.
