Last night on the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music awards show, in case you missed them, a few country singers paired up for a performance with a non-country singers.  Brad Paisley and Alabama sang together to sing, of course, "Old Alabama."  If you could predict any duet, this would have been it.  Paisley's new song makes numerous references to Alabama.  Though slightly predictable, it was quite awesome to see the two finish the end with some fast-paced jamming on their guitars.

Zac Brown Band and James Taylor paired up to sing "Colder Weather"  and "Sweet Baby James."  Though it's impossible not to love Zac Brown, James Taylor didn't seem to know "Colder Weather" as well as he should have.  The audience loved it anyway and both performers received a standing ovation.

Another surprising collaboration were Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith.  Carrie started out the performance singing solo to "Undo It." After about two verses, the music changed into "Walk this Way" and Tyler joined her on stage.  Underwood definitely took home the best dressed in this particular act.  Not sure what Tyler was wearing, but you can't top Carrie's wardrobe and her great physique.  It was a rockin' duet and very fun performance to watch.

The last duet I want to mention (my favorite) was Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland and R&B singer Rihanna.  The two paired up to sing Rihanna's new song, "California King Bed."  While the song and both singers were fantastic, I thought it was a little hard to hear Rihanna's voice.  She is a beautiful singer as is Nettles, but I almost think Nettles' voice overpowered Rihanna's.  Jennifer's jumpsuit had my vote for best outfit of the night and I think the duo took home best duet.  Check it out:
