Colonie Library Adds Beer Tasting to New Book Club
Is your New Year's resolution to read more? Or maybe is it to drink more? Get two birds with one stone and come to the Colonie Beer and Book Club.
The Colonie Beer and Book Club will take place on Tuesday, January 14th for their first meeting at 110 Grill on New Loudon Rd in Latham. Each meeting with involve talking about that month's book, as a normal book club does. The difference between this and a regular book club is that beer is involved.
They are hoping to meet the first Tuesday of each month. January's book is “Running with Scissors” by Augusten Burroughs from 7:00pm-8:00pm. February's book is “Are you there Vodka? It’s me Chelsea" by by Chelsea Handler at BJ's Brewhouse in Central Ave, according to Spotlight News.
This idea has worked in other places all over the country and the Colonie Library is hoping it works here too. Though anyone can show up, they're hoping to have people to RSVP before the event. Anyone wanting more information can contact the library at 518-810-0314.
