This world never ceases to amaze me. It is so full of bad things happening to good people. I know that we at the "Sean and Richie Show" try very hard to stay positive everyday, if for no other reason to counter act all the bad news that streams from the media on an ever-increasing basis. Sometimes though, there are people who just need to be "outed" for the things they have done, and I believe this is one of those times.

This is why I do a feature each morning at 8:10 a.m. called "The Good News," just a small story about someone doing something good in this world. Who knows, maybe the world does get a little better one random act of kindness at a time.

Today, mine did.

I have found myself getting more and more behind this week. With things I have to get done building up and time to get them done slipping away, this storm could not have come at a worse time. This morning I knew I'd have to get up early to get to work and help everyone else get the information they needed to get their day started. After the show, I planned to get home take a short nap and then get busy clearing the driveway. I knew I had to get all this done before I could even start to get to the other things I had piling up.

All was going well until I was awoken at noon to the sound of a snow blower in MY DRIVEWAY! My neighbor and his 12-year-old daughter were clearing the snow for me!

When I went down to ask him why and tell him he didn't have to do it, he said his daughter wanted to do their driveway but by the time they had gotten their snow gear on, a different neighbor was already plowing theirs. So his daughter said, "Hey let's go pay it forward and do Sean's house."

I thanked him and said he must be so proud of her, he said he was. I offered to give her some money, but he said "no, please don't do that." So left with no other option, all I could do was use this opportunity to publicly say,"Thank you, Derek and Hannah Garrett, I really do appreciate what you did for me."
