Capital Region Boy to be Blessed by the Pope

Landon LaChance has neurofibromatosis, a rare, genetic disorder that causes his skin to change color, or causes non-cancerous tumors to form.  He's been suffering with the disease for almost his entire life.

He will be the recipient of a wish from the Make-a-Wish foundation and he has chosen to be blessed by Pope Francis!

Most 11 year-old boys would chose to go to Disney World or to meet their favorite football star, but Landon is a sweet, sincere and genuine young man who's wish is to be blessed so that maybe he can feel a little bit better!

Within the next two weeks, Landon and his family will fly to the Vatican for a family vacation and to deliver Landon to the Pope!

We're all hoping they have a safe and blessed trip!
