Ahead of the release of his new studio album, Love and War, Brad Paisley has announced a brand-new single, "Last Time for Everything." Readers can press play below to hear the new track.

Paisley co-wrote "Last Time for Everything," Track No. 2 on Love and War, with Smith Ahnquist, Brent Anderson, Chris DuBois and Mike Ryan. The song finds Paisley reminiscing not about life's firsts, but life's lasts: the bittersweet last high school football game you play in, the you-wised-up last time you "[tell] Supercuts, 'Let's leave it long in the back,'" the never-forget-it last chance you get to see a musical hero onstage.

"Last call, last chance, last song, last dance / Sometimes you just don’t know when that’s gonna be," Paisley sings in the chorus of "Last Time for Everything." "Hold me baby, give me a kiss / Like tonight is all there is / ‘Cause there’s a last time for everything ..."

"Last Time for Everything" is the second single from Love and War; it follows “Today,” which Paisley released in October of 2016. That song recently hit No. 1 on the country charts.

Set for release on April 21, Love and War contains 16 tracks, all of which were co-written by Paisley. The project will feature multiple collaborations, including songs with Mick Jagger, Timbaland, John Fogerty and Bill Anderson; the song “Gold All Over the Ground” also features Johnny Cash as a co-writer.

Love and War is available for pre-order from iTunes.
